Silver Airways inaugurates new maintenance facility at GNV
Silver Airways Corp. announced that it will relocate its maintenance department from its home base in Fort Lauderdale to a new, state-of-the-art facility at Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV). Silver Airways’ new maintenance facility covers 61,000 ft² and is located on the southwest quadrant of Gainesville Regional Airport. It consists of approximately 45,000 ft² of airconditioned hangar space. Support areas include a 10,800 ft² maintenance section and a 5,400 ft² customer service area. The height of the hangar doors (24 feet) and thickness of the hangar floor accommodates regional airlines such as the Saab 340Bplus and Beechcraft 1900D aircraft that comprise the current Silver Airways fleet.
