A J Walter Aviation moves to close purchase agreement for component repair business of Aveos
Judge Jean-Yves Lalonde of the Superior Court of Québec, sitting in and for the Commercial Division for the District of Montreal, issued the approval and vesting order requested by the Chief Restructuring Officer and Monitor authorising the sale by Aveos Fleet Performance of the assets of its component repair business to A J Walter Aviation. The Montréal facility will house AJW’s new global headquarters for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft components. A J Walter Aviation has worked closely with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) and the Canadian Government to formulate a new business initiative that will support a sustainable and substantial MRO business from the outset. Once completed, this new organisation will provide many new jobs over the long-term and build upon the local aviation heritage.
