GE Aviation’s H80 turboprop engine gains Russian type certification
GE Aviation’s H80 turboprop engine has received type certification from the Interstate Aviation Committee Aviation Register (IAC AR). The Russian agency issued the type certificate on September 24, 2012. To date, the H80 engine has received type certifications from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Brazilian Civil Aviation agency (ANAC) and the Argentine Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil. GE is pursuing type certificates for the H80 in other countries, including Canada and China, to support of the expanding global customer base.
