Pratt & Whitney AeroPower has signed a long-term comprehensive APS5000 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) maintenance support agreement with Scoot, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, for its new fleet of 20 Boeing 787 series aircraft. The support agreement includes repair services and spares asset management. The agreement, which focuses on system health monitoring, and aircraft operational and dispatch reliability, marks Pratt & Whitney AeroPower’s most comprehensive maintenance support program for its APS5000 APU. The agreement covers 10 B787-8 and 10 B787-9 of Scoot’s new 787 aircraft fleet. The first delivery of the 787-9 aircraft is scheduled for November 2014.
