Rolls-Royce announced two steps to better position its business activities in North America. In mid-2008, the company will move its North American corporate headquarters, which employs 130 people, from Chantilly, Virginia to a new building in Reston, Virginia. It will then begin to consolidate its North American Purchasing organization in the Chantilly office, which will likely result in approximately 100 new jobs in Virginia.
Last month, Rolls-Royce announced plans to expand its global capability by investing in two new aerospace facilities, one in Prince George County in Virginia and one in Singapore. This expanded global capability will better position the company to meet the increasing needs of its global business and its growing customer base around the world.
