EADS REVIMA, one of the leaders in landing gear maintenance for wide-body aircraft (Airbus and Boeing) reported that Christian Grzanka, Managing Director of EADS REVIMA and Christian Knapp, previously CEO of Aircelle and Messier-Dowty signed an agreement with EADS SOGERMA on October 28th to take over the company. Within the company, renamed REVIMA, Christian Knapp will take the position of President of the company and Christian Grzanka will stand as Managing Director.
A growth strategy has been developed taking advantage of the existing capacity of the Caudebec-en-Caux (France) plant and its highly skilled workforce. Five hundred gears to be handled in 2010 compared with the three hundred done in 2007 and the two hundred three years ago. To support that objective, an aggressive plan has been defined, including a comprehensive industrial investment plan of $18 million over 5 years to eliminate all bottlenecks, continue implementation of lean production lines and improve environmental friendliness and a rotable investment plan of $37 million over 5 years to purchase new assets that are required to perform standard exchange prior to overhaul.
With this new ambition REVIMA will follow the objective to increase its recognition and develop the value that REVIMA delivers to airlines with a strong focus on timely delivery and quality.
