Pratt & Whitney Canada has announced deals with Canadian, U.S. and German companies to provide support and services for helicopter fleets. The Quebec-based company announced that it has signed a five-year contract with Canadian heli-skiing firm Alpine Helicopters of Kelowna, B.C., for repair and overhaul of 20 PT6T-3B Twin-Pac(R) engines, plus spares, installed on Alpine’s fleet of Bell 212 helicopters. Also announced was a fleet management program agreement with Air Methods Corporation of Englewood, Colo., to provide engine support for Air Method’s fleet of helicopters used for emergency air medical transportation services.
The agreement covers approximately 125 PW200 series engines, plus spares, installed on Air Methods’ fleet of Eurocopter EC135, Agusta A109 Power and Bell 429 helicopters.
Pratt & Whitney Canada Customer Service Centre Europe GmbH, a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney Canada and MTU Aero Engines, signed a 16-year fleet management program agreement with Germany’s Automobile Club ADAC to provide comprehensive maintenance support for PW206B2 engines installed on their fleet of 19 Eurocopter EC135P2 helicopters.
