GE Capital Aviation Services (“GECAS”) has signed a firm purchase agreement for five Q400 NextGen aircraft and has also taken options on an additional 10 Q400 NextGen aircraft. Based on the list price of the Q400 NextGen aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately US$160m. The value could increase to US$448m should GECAS exercise all its options.
Bombardier Business Aircraft has received a firm order for six Learjet 75 business jets with options for an additional three Learjet 75 aircraft from an undisclosed customer. The transaction for the firm aircraft is valued at approximately US$83m based on the 2014 list price for typically equipped aircraft. Learjet 75 aircraft: With a maximum range greater than 2,000 nautical miles at cruise speeds up to Mach 0.75, the Learjet 75 aircraft will be able to fly four passengers and two crew members non-stop from Los Angeles to Toronto and Toluca to Bogota. Additionally, it will be able to handle a range close to 1,950 nautical miles with eight passengers.
A customer, who has requested to remain unidentified at this time, has signed a firm order for 24 CRJ900 NextGen regional jets. Including this latest order, Bombardier has recorded firm orders for 1,858 CRJ Series aircraft, including 384 CRJ900 and CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. Worldwide, CRJ Series aircraft are in service with more than 60 airlines and over 30 customers operate corporate variants of the aircraft in more than 50 countries on six continents. CRJ Series aircraft have transported more than 1.5 billion passengers and have logged more than 41 million flight hours and over 34 million takeoffs and landings.
