Virgin America reported its preliminary operational results for April 2015. The airline’s traffic increased 2.8% on capacity that was 1.2% higher than the same month in 2014.Load factor was 85.4%, up 1.3 points from April 2014.
Southwest Airlines reported that traffic in April 2015, increased 8.6% compared to the same month in 2014, while capacity increased 6.7%. The load factor was 83.1% compared to 81.7% in April 2014.
International Airlines Group (IAG) traffic in April 2015 increased by 4.0% versus April 2014, while Group capacity rose by 6.4%. The laod factor for the month was down 1.8 points to 78.4% compared to the previous year.
Norwegian’s traffic in April grew 14% when compared to the same period in2014, while capacity increased by 11%. The load factor was 82.4% in April, up 2.6 points, compard to April 2014.
Ryanair reported that traffic for April grew 16% compared to the previous year, while the load factor for the month was up 7.0 points to 91%.
SAS released traffic figures for April 2015 with a decrease in capacity of 0.1% compare to April 2014 and a decrease in traffic by 11.7%. The load factor for April 2015 was down 9.2 points to 70.1%.
