Chorus Aviation recently signed a deal for nine CRJ900 regional jets with Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. Consequently, Jazz Aviation, a subsidiary of Chorus, will operate these aircraft under the Air Canada Express brand. This complies with Jazz’s Capacity Purchase Agreement (‘CPA’) with Air Canada.
Each of the nine planes, set for delivery in 2020, has 76 seats in two classes, business class and economy class. Additionally, the new aircraft feature Bombardier’s new ATMOSPHÈRE cabin. These cabins have larger passenger living spaces, increased overhead bin capacity, more spacious lavatories, and overall improved aesthetics.
