DC Aviation’s Maintenance team at Stuttgart Airport has successfully completed a 48-month check on a Challenger 605. The comprehensive maintenance work included a full cabin refurbishment using the latest materials and painting work. In addition, an extended upgrade of the Proline 21 avionics system was implemented.
This includes the installation of ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast). This air traffic control system for displaying aircraft movements in airspace has been mandatory in the U.S.A. and the UAE since 1 January 2020. This system enables the aircraft’s route to be tracked, as it determines its exact flight position via satellite navigation and periodically broadcasts it. The upgrade also includes the implementation of the TOSE (Take-Off Safety Enhancement) system.
DC Aviation offers line and base maintenance services for a wide range of aircraft types in a specially equipped 5,000 m² hangar at Stuttgart Airport (EDDS) and a 12,500 m² approved maintenance facility at Al Maktoum International Airport (OMDW) in Dubai. DC Aviation maintains a large parts inventory and special tools for specific aircraft, a battery and wheel shop, testing equipment and a maintenance logistics centre.
