Rex has taken delivery of another SAAB 340 turboprop, further bolstering its fleet of aircraft operating to regional and rural destinations in every State in Australia.
The 34-seat aircraft, registered VH-ZPO, arrived in Australia from the United States on July 20 and will enter service once final engineering and regulatory checks have been completed.
Rex’s Chief Operating Officer, Neville Howell, said, “The aircraft’s deployment will assist in our growth strategy which has already resulted in significant capacity increases from July 4, on 11 key regional routes in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.”
