Embraer has confirmed that Spanish airline Binter is the customer for the new firm order for five E195-E2 aircraft announced last week and to be delivered in 2023 and 2024. These aircraft will be added to the fleet of five jets already incorporated as of 2019 when Binter became the first European customer for the E195-E2. The list price value of the contract is US$389.4 million (£319 million), which will be added to Embraer’s Q4 backlog.
Binter’s current fleet consists of 24 ATR 72-series aircraft and five Embraer E-195 E2 jets, to which it will add the newly ordered five E195-E2 jets in 2023 and 2024. It is based at Gran Canaria Airport (or Gando Airport) in the municipality of Telde on the island of Gran Canaria and on the island of Tenerife, at Tenerife Norte Airport in La Laguna, Spain.
