Gulfstream receive EASA operational credit for EVS-equipped aircraft to fly approaches to 100 feet

Gulfstream Aerospace recently became the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to receive approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for all of its aircraft equipped with the Gulfstream Enhanced Vision System (EVS) to obtain operational credit for continuing approaches to 100 feet. EU-OPS rule 1.430(h), the European equivalent of Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 91.175, requires pilots using instrument approach procedures be able to visually see the approach lights and runway environment from a predetermined distance in order to proceed with landing the aircraft. Cyclone to supply Boeing F-15 components valued at $31 million

Elbit Systems announced that its subsidiary, Cyclone Aviation Products has been awarded a contract by The Boeing Company valued at approx. $31 million to supply structural components for its F-15 fighter jets. The contract calls for the supply of external fuel tanks, pylons, horizontal stabilizers and gun access doors. Deliveries are scheduled between 2009 and 2011.

Associated Air Center delivers 12th Airbus Corporate Jet

Associated Air Center (AAC) has delivered its twelfth Airbus Corporate Jet completion project since 2003. Arriving as a green aircraft in early November, the project was completed in an eight month turnaround time. The aircraft departed AAC in late July and will join two previously completed siblings in Africa.

Goodrich to provide integrated landing gear system for Cessna Citation Columbus

Goodrich Corporation is providing an advanced fully integrated landing gear system for the Cessna Model 850 Citation Columbus large cabin intercontinental business jet. The weight-efficient system includes main and nose landing gear, wheels and carbon brakes, and electronic control and steering systems. The selection of Goodrich represents an important strategic partnership and new approach for Cessna landing systems. IAI signs exclusive contract with Kenya Airways

Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI) Bedek Aviation Group has been awarded an exclusive contract by Kenya Airways, Kenya’s national flag carrier for CFM56-3/7 engine refurbishment and total support. The agreement, valued at over $100 million covers twenty six engines for a period of ten years on the airline’s Boeing 737 planes.
