Sabena technics Group released that it had been attributed the Maintenance in Operational Condition (MOC) contract of the Airbus A310 fleet belonging to the French Air Force for a 78 month period. ACTS signs long-term material and repair agreements with GE and CFM

ACTS announced the signing of a 10 year OnPointSM solutions agreement with GE for material to repair CF34 engines, and a landmark 10 year materials agreement with CFM International (CFM) for the repair and overhaul of the CFM56-2, CFM56-3, CFM56-5A, CFM56-5B and CFM56-5C engines. Worth an estimated $2.5 billion, both agreements cover all life limited and non-life limited parts, as well as component repair and used materials for the GE and CFM engines that ACTS repairs.

Goodrich to expand customer services campus in Monroe, NC

Goodrich Corporation is expanding its Customer Services headquarters and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) campus in Monroe, NC. The $5.5 million facility expansion, slated for completion in the third quarter of 2008, will increase the company’s capabilities and allow for additional services, including complex repairs of helicopter actuation products and large aircraft cargo systems.

AirTran Airways awards long-term maintenance contract to IAI

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings has awarded Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)’s Bedek Aviation Group a long-term contract for landing gear maintenance, covering its entire fleet of Boeing 737NG aircraft. AirTran Airways has ordered 115 Boeing 737NG aircraft and taken delivery of 50 to date.

Pratt & Whitney and Turkish Airlines Technic form MRO joint venture

Pratt & Whitney and Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. signed a joint venture agreement on January 7th, to build an aircraft engine overhaul center in Istanbul. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The joint venture facility, to be named Pratt & Whitney Turkish Technic Aircraft Engine Maintenance Center LLP, will overhaul V2500 and CFM56 engines. Construction will begin in early 2008 and the first engine is expected to be inducted in 2009. MNG Technic signs agreement with Onur Air

MNG Technic has signed another C Check agreement with Onur Air to perform heavy maintenance on its 8 MD series aircraft. The starting date of first C Check will be on January 2008 and all 8 C Checks will be accomplished in five months at the facility of MNG Technic hangar located at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Turkey. MNG Technic is providing Base Maintenance Services at its base in Istanbul, Turkey, as well as Line Maintenance Services in Istanbul and Antalya.
