Royal Air Maroc awards engineering support contract to Snecma Services

Royal Air Maroc, the national flag carrier of Morocco, has signed an engineering support contract with Snecma Services (SAFRAN Group), a leading CFM56 OEM shop. This latest agreement further consolidates the partnership between the Royal Air Maroc and Snecma Services. The two companies are already partners in the jointly owned Snecma Morocco Engine Services (SMES), an MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) shop for CFM56-3 and -7B engines.

Lufthansa Technik takes on component support for Aer Lingus

The Irish low-fare airline Aer Lingus has contracted Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg to provide component support for its growing fleet of Airbus aircraft. The agreement signed covers a term of ten years and includes component services for a fleet of currently 34 Airbus A320 family aircraft and nine Airbus A330 jets. The contract has a volume in excess of 90 million euros. Lufthansa Technik AG will provide service and repair for almost all aircraft components. SR Technics concludes engine maintenance agreement with R&M Aviation Support

SR Technics and UK-based R & M Aviation Support have concluded a new Integrated Engine Solutions (IES) agreement. The exclusive three-year agreement which takes immediate effect is worth around USD 20 million in total revenue terms. Under the new IES agreement, SR Technics will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for six Pratt & Whitney PW4060 powerplants managed by R & M Aviation Support and operated on the Ukraine-based Aerosvit Airlines Boeing 767 fleet. SR Technics expands its presence in the African market by concluding an Integrated Engine Solutions (IES) agreement with South African Airways Technical. Volvo Aero and Rolls-Royce sign risk and revenue sharing agreement

Volvo Aero and Rolls-Royce have entered into a risk and revenue sharing agreement for the Trent XWB engine for the Airbus A350XWB aircraft, under which Volvo Aero will develop and manufacture the intermediate compressor case, a key engine component. P&W and Turkish Technic break ground on engine overhaul center

Pratt & Whitney and its joint venture partner, Turkish Airlines Technic broke ground on a new CFM56 and V2500 engine overhaul facility in Istanbul on July 14th. Once fully operational, the 25,000-square-meter (269,000-square-foot) center is expected to overhaul up to 200 engines annually and employ up to 550 people, many of whom will be from Turkish Technic’s highly experienced engine maintenance team.
