Capital Cargo selects P&W Global Service Partners for line maintenance

Capital Cargo International Airlines, a global airport-to-airport freight transporter, has selected Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners for a five-year, Line Maintenance Services agreement. The agreement covers specific as well as any other on-condition Line Maintenance Services that Capital Cargo International Airlines may require for entry into service aircraft, as well as future owned or leased Boeing 757 planes in Capital Cargo’s fleet.

Hamilton Sundstrand signs spare parts agreement with Saab Aerotech

Hamilton Sundstrand has signed an exclusive agreement with Saab Aerotech to supply spare parts to support repair and overhaul of Hamilton Sundstrand components installed on Saab commercial aircraft and others. Over the course of the 10-year agreement, Saab Aerotech will receive dependable, timely, and quality material and technical support. Hamilton Sundstrand has similar agreements in place with 28 of the world’s top 30 airlines.

QuEST Manufacturing sets up sheet metal fabrication facility for aerospace

QuEST, a leading provider of outsourced engineering services and manufacturing announced that QuEST Manufacturing, its wholly owned subsidiary, is setting up a dedicated sheet metal fabrication facility for aerospace in its 300 acre Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Belgaum, Karnataka, India. This facility would be in close proximity to machining and special processing facilities and would support both engine and structural sheet metal forming. Phase-1 of this facility would consist of sheet metal cutting, brake forming, hydro forming / fluid forming, heat treatment for aluminum and assembly operations like riveting, etc.

Bombardier and Shenyang Aircraft Corporation sign contract

Bombardier Aerospace signed a contract with the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC), a subsidiary of the state-owned aviation industrial entity China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC I), to supply the centre fuselage on the newly launched Bombardier CSeries aircraft. In June 2007, the two companies announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a long-term strategic cooperation in the 90- to 149-seat commercial aircraft market. Both parties expect the outcome of this collaboration to result in mutually beneficial cost reductions and increased production efficiencies for their respective aircraft programs.

Hamilton Sundstrand signs long-term spare parts and repair agreement with ACTS

Hamilton Sundstrand has signed a long-term agreement to provide ACT-Aero Technical Support and Services Inc. (ACTS) with exclusive spare parts support and repair services, including shop support, on select airframe and engine accessories. Under the six-year agreement, Hamilton Sundstrand will supply aircraft parts to support ACTS operations for all aircraft types, with an option to extend the deal an additional two years. ACTS is a primary maintenance provider for an expanding list of customer airlines.
