Christoph Debus is joining Air Berlin

Christoph Debus, 38 years old, will be joining the Board of Executive Directors of Air Berlin PLC on 1st June 2009. He will take over responsibility for sales, network and IT. Previously Debus had been Managing Director at another airline, Condor, where he was responsible for IT, controlling, personnel, bookkeeping, accounting and finance for four years.

Maunu Visuri becomes Managing Director of Finnair Aircraft Finance Oy

Maunu Visuri has been appointed Managing Director of Finnair Aircraft Finance Oy as of 1 May 2009. Visuri currently holds the position of Deputy Managing Director in Finnair Aircraft Finance Oy. The current Managing Director, Colin Molloy, will retire at the end of April.

Aer Lingus CEO Dermot Mannion to step down

Aer Lingus Group plc announced that Mr Dermot Mannion, Group Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), has informed the Board of his intention to step down with immediate effect. The Board of Aer Lingus has accepted his decision. Mr Colm Barrington, Chairman of the Board, will assume executive responsibility for the Group until a new CEO has been appointed. The Board has commenced a process to select a new Group Chief Executive Officer.

Air Canada appoints Duncan Dee as Executive Vice President and COO

Air Canada announced the appointment of Duncan Dee as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective April 3, 2009. Mr. Dee will report directly to Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dee succeeds Bill Bredt who is retiring from the company after 36 years of service with Air Canada and Jazz.

Calin Rovinescu new President & Chief Executive Officer at Air Canada

David Richardson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Air Canada, announced the resignation of Montie Brewer as President and Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2009. Calin Rovinescu, a former senior executive with the airline, will succeed Mr. Brewer as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rovinescu will also assume Mr. Brewer’s seat on the corporation’s Board of Directors. Air Canada also announced the addition of Michael Green to the Board of Directors effective immediately. Mr. Green is the lead director of ACE Aviation Holdings Inc.

Holly Nelson new Chief Financial Officer at Virgin America

Virgin America, the California-based domestic airline, today announced the appointment of Holly Nelson as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Nelson joins Virgin America in April, and will oversee the award-winning airline’s financial operations, including treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis, accounting, financial reporting, budgets, procurement and fleet planning. Nelson most recently served as Senior Vice President Finance and Controller at XOJET. Nelson also served as Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at JetBlue Airways.

Denis Vercherin named Senior Vice President of Snecma

Snecma and Snecma Services, both companies in the SAFRAN Group, merged their businesses on February 1, 2009 to adapt to changes in the aviation market and meet customer expectations. Within the scope of this merger, Philippe Petitcolin has been confirmed as Chairman and CEO of the expanded Snecma, and Denis Vercherin, previously Chairman and CEO of Snecma Services, has been named Senior Vice President of Snecma.
