JetBlue Airways announces the promotion of Rob Maruster to Chief Operating Officer effective June 1, 2009, concurrent with the transition of current President and Chief Operating Officer Russ Chew to the role of Senior Advisor. JetBlue’s Chief Executive Officer, Dave Barger, will assume the duties and title of President, also effective June 1, 2009.

JetBlue Names Dennis Corrigan Vice President, Revenue Management

JetBlue Airways announced the appointment of Dennis Corrigan to the position of Vice President, Revenue Management. Corrigan joins JetBlue from United Airlines, where he served in a variety of Revenue Management leadership positions over the last five years, most recently as Managing Director, Revenue Management Operations. Mr. Corrigan joined United after 10 years with American Airlines’ Revenue Management team. Corrigan will report to Robin Hayes, JetBlue’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, and will be responsible for guiding the airline’s revenue management operations.

Aer Lingus CEO Dermot Mannion to step down

Aer Lingus Group plc announced that Mr Dermot Mannion, Group Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), has informed the Board of his intention to step down with immediate effect. Air Canada appoints Duncan Dee as Executive Vice President and COO

Air Canada announced the appointment of Duncan Dee as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective April 3, 2009. Mr. Dee will report directly to Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dee succeeds Bill Bredt who is retiring from the company after 36 years of service with Air Canada and Jazz.

Calin Rovinescu new President & Chief Executive Officer at Air Canada

David Richardson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Air Canada, announced the resignation of Montie Brewer as President and Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2009. Calin Rovinescu, a former senior executive with the airline, will succeed Mr. Brewer as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rovinescu will also assume Mr. Brewer’s seat on the corporation’s Board of Directors. Air Canada also announced the addition of Michael Green to the Board of Directors effective immediately. Mr. Green is the lead director of ACE Aviation Holdings Inc.
