Paul Theofan new President and Managing Executive of GE Aviation Czech

Paul Theofan has been named president and managing executive of GE Aviation Czech. In this role, Theofan will be responsible for general oversight of Aviation’s Czech business, including the design, manufacturing, marketing and support of Walter Aircraft Engines. Theofan has spent more than 20 years at Unison Industries, which was acquired by GE in 2002. He began his Unison career as a Quality Engineer and has held additional leaderships roles in Sales and Manufacturing.

Brad Tilden elected Alaska Airlines' president

Brad Tilden has been elected president of Alaska Airlines. Previously Alaska Air Group’s chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and planning, Tilden will oversee the airline’s operating divisions and marketing, in addition to retaining responsibility for network planning and revenue management. Replacing Tilden as chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance for Alaska Air Group and Alaska Airlines is Glenn Johnson, formerly Alaska Airlines’ executive vice president of customer service — airports and maintenance and engineering. Chaker A. Chahrour named new CFM International Executive Vice President

Chaker Chahrour has been named the new executive vice president of CFM International, effective February 1, 2009. Mr. Chahrour is replacing Bill Clapper, who will be on special assignment as he transitions to retirement later in 2009. As part of the CFM Executive Team, Mr. Chahrour will serve as the primary interface between General Electric and Snecma. Along with his counterpart at Snecma, he will be responsible for overseeing CFM56 program management, marketing and sales, communications, and after-sales support

StandardAero names Claude Chidiac Business Development Leader

Standard Aero has appointed Claude Chidiac to the position of Vice President Business Development for Business Aviation based in Tempe, Ariz. Chidiac will be responsible for developing a sustainable long-term strategy for the business aviation sector and for creating innovative approaches to growing existing products and services. Prior to joining StandardAero, Chidiac was Program Management Office vice president for Bombardier Aerospace and most recently was managing director for Grob Aerospace.

First President for Rolls-Royce India appointed

Rolls-Royce reported the appointment of Anil Shrikhande as President Rolls-Royce India. Anil will assume leadership of all Rolls-Royce operations and activities in India and South Asia. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Anil held a number of executive positions at Boeing, including Vice President, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems and President, Boeing India. His previous roles in India also include President of Unisys India and Board membership of Tata Unisys.
