Goodrich appoints President, Engine Control and Electrical Power Systems

Goodrich Corporation has appointed Bob Yancey as President of its Engine Control and Electrical Power Systems business unit. Yancey, formerly President of the Engine Components business, will report to Curtis Reusser, Segment President, Electronic Systems. Yancey replaces Mike Gardiner who now leads Aero Engine Controls, the joint venture formed by Goodrich and Rolls-Royce.

Virgin America's CFO to step down in 2009

Virgin America released that Robert B. Dana, its founding Senior Vice President – Chief Financial Officer, will step down in early 2009. Mr. Dana cited personal reasons for his decision, particularly the challenges of the transcontinental weekly commute from the New York area that he has conducted since the Company moved its corporate headquarters from Manhattan to Burlingame, California in 2005.

Boeing restructures commercial airplanes organizations

Boeing announced a series of executive leadership changes and a restructuring within Boeing Commercial Airplanes to better align resources across its development and production programs and strengthen oversight of its global supply chain. Paul Theofan new President and Managing Executive of GE Aviation Czech

Paul Theofan has been named president and managing executive of GE Aviation Czech. In this role, Theofan will be responsible for general oversight of Aviation’s Czech business, including the design, manufacturing, marketing and support of Walter Aircraft Engines. Theofan has spent more than 20 years at Unison Industries, which was acquired by GE in 2002. He began his Unison career as a Quality Engineer and has held additional leaderships roles in Sales and Manufacturing.

Brad Tilden elected Alaska Airlines' president

Brad Tilden has been elected president of Alaska Airlines. Previously Alaska Air Group’s chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and planning, Tilden will oversee the airline’s operating divisions and marketing, in addition to retaining responsibility for network planning and revenue management. Replacing Tilden as chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance for Alaska Air Group and Alaska Airlines is Glenn Johnson, formerly Alaska Airlines’ executive vice president of customer service — airports and maintenance and engineering.
