Jet Aviation announces changes in its U.S. executive management

Jet Aviation has restructured its U.S. executive management. Jim Ziegler, who had been chief operating officer of U.S. operations, is leaving the company and will become an advisor to Jet Aviation. Since Januar 16th, Gary Dempsey, Jet Aviation’s president of Flight Services for The Americas, and Kurt Sutterer, president, MRO & Completions of Midcoast Aviation, an affiliate of the Jet Aviation Group, will be responsible for U.S. operations. They will report directly to Peter G. Edwards, president of the Jet Aviation Group.

Shinichiro Ito new CEO at ANA

At an extraordinary meeting of the ANA Board of Directors, ANA senior executive vice president Shinichiro Ito was named as president and CEO, effective from April 1 this year. In his 35 years at ANA, Mr. Ito has held senior positions spanning the major areas of the company, including Engineering and Maintenance, Airport Administration, Personnel, and Corporate Planning. In his present role he is responsible for Marketing & Sales, CS (Customer Satisfaction) Promotion and Products & Services Strategy.

Finnair appoints new Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Finnair’s CFO, MSc (Econ.), Lasse Heinonen has been appointed Executive Vice President and Finnair’s Deputy CEO as of January 13th. Mr. Heinonen has been serving Finnair since 2004 and he is a member of the Executive Board of Finnair Plc and the Management Board of the Finnair Group.

Goodrich appoints President, Engine Control and Electrical Power Systems

Goodrich Corporation has appointed Bob Yancey as President of its Engine Control and Electrical Power Systems business unit. Yancey, formerly President of the Engine Components business, will report to Curtis Reusser, Segment President, Electronic Systems. Yancey replaces Mike Gardiner who now leads Aero Engine Controls, the joint venture formed by Goodrich and Rolls-Royce.

Virgin America's CFO to step down in 2009

Virgin America released that Robert B. Dana, its founding Senior Vice President – Chief Financial Officer, will step down in early 2009. Mr. Dana cited personal reasons for his decision, particularly the challenges of the transcontinental weekly commute from the New York area that he has conducted since the Company moved its corporate headquarters from Manhattan to Burlingame, California in 2005.
