The growing customer base in the Asia Pacific Rim recently led Jet Aviation to restructure the company’s aircraft management and charter operation in Hong Kong. With the appointment of Barry Collier and Iris Riesen as new managing directors, the company further strengthens its services to better accommodate the regional business aviation community and its needs.

SkyWest Airlines names Joe Sigg Director – Aircraft Spares

SkyWest Airlines named Joe Sigg director of aircraft spares. Sigg replaces Todd Wilkinson, who has taken a new role at SkyWest’s sister carrier, Atlantic Southeast Airlines. In his new role, Sigg will be responsible for the procurement and distribution of all aircraft parts throughout SkyWest’s system, as well as working with maintenance vendors, maintaining the inventory of all parts and materials, managing parts accounts/budgets and ensuring that all parts meet FAA regulations as well as SkyWest’s high standard of excellence. Sigg will oversee approximately 150 employees throughout the SkyWest system.

Boeing announces leadership changes in finance groups

Boeing announced a series of personnel moves within its corporate and business unit Finance organizations that will leverage the capabilities and expand the experience of leaders in several key roles. Commercial Airplanes Chief Financial Officer Rob Pasterick has been named vice president of Finance and corporate controller, reporting to Boeing Corporate President and Chief Financial Officer James Bell. He succeeds Harry McGee who becomes vice president of strategy integration for internal services, a new position created to drive long-term efficiencies and greater productivity across the company’s internal business support services. Onno P.M. van den Brink leaves transavia.com

Mr. Onno P.M. van den Brink has decided to retire from his current position as President & C.E.O. of transavia.com as per 1 March 2009. Mr. van den Brink took his decision on the eve of the proposed collaboration between Martinair, transavia.com and KLM, which is the subject of a study that was recently initiated by KLM. Mr. van den Brink decided that he would not be available to play a role in the new situation. As from 1 March, Mr. Tjero R. Zomer, the current Executive Vice President & C.F.O. of transavia.com, will temporarily act as President & C.E.O.

Boeing names Aldo Basile Vice President Sales for Europe, Russia and Central Asia

Boeing has named Aldo Basile its new Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president of Sales for Europe, Russia and Central Asia. Basile succeeds Marlin Dailey, who recently became Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president Sales. Based at the Commercial Airplanes European headquarters in London, Basile is responsible for the company’s commercial airplane sales activity across the region. GOL appoints new CFO

GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes S.A. appointed Leonardo Pereira as GOL’s executive vice-president and chief financial officer. Pereira will assume the senior executive position occupied by Richard Lark until June 2008, when he transitioned his executive responsibilities, and will be responsible for the Finance, Investor Relations, Accounting and Taxes, Financial Planning and Corporate Budget departments. The company scheduled a Board of Directors meeting on February 4, 2009 to vote on Pereira’s nomination.
