Nyimpini Mabunda appointed CEO for General Electric in Southern Africa

General Electric (GE) has announced the appointment of Nyimpini Mabunda as the Chief Executive Officer for Southern Africa. In this role, Mabunda will lead GE’s growth in the region and drive alignment across its Power, Healthcare, Aviation and Renewable Energy businesses. He will also drive GE’s BBBEE roadmap and processes in South Africa. Prior to joining GE, Mabunda was a Senior Advisor for the Boston Consulting Group and before that, he led Vodacom’s largest division, the Consumer Business Unit as Chief Executive for about approximately three years, responsible for commercial strategy and execution.

Farsound Aviation appoints new Quality Director

Gulfstream names Josh Thompson CFO

Gulfstream Aerospace has named Josh Thompson of General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) as the aerospace company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective August 3. Thompson will report to Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream, and serve as a member of the Gulfstream leadership team. He succeeds Dan Clare, Gulfstream’s long-time CFO, who will retire at the end of September. Thompson brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served in various positions at OTS and parent company General Dynamics’ corporate headquarters since joining the defense company in 2004. Thompson has been the OTS CFO since 2018.

Austrian Airlines’ CFO Wolfgang Jani to leave the company

Wolfgang Jani, Chief Financial Officer of Austrian Airlines, will leave the company as at the end of August. He assumed the position of CFO and Member of the Executive Board in April 2018.
