Crane Aerospace & Electronics sign multiple agreements at Paris Air Show

Crane Aerospace & Electronics signed multiple agreements at the Paris Air Show. The first agreement was signed with ECE, a Zodiac Aerospace company, to supply its Transformer Rectifier Units (TRUs) on the Electrical Power Distribution Systems (EPDS) for the Airbus A350XWB. There are seven TRUs within the Electrical Power Distribution System. The ECE Electrical Power Distribution Systems control and monitor the electrical DC power distribution to the loads on the aircraft.  The Crane TRUs provide 230VAC to 28VDC conversion / fault protection and 115VAC to 28VDC conversion / fault protection within the EPDS. CIRCOR Aerospace selected by Messier-Bugatti-Dowty for retraction actuators

The CIRCOR Aerospace Products Group, a business unit of CIRCOR International, has been selected by Safran / Messier-Bugatti-Dowty to manufacture retraction actuators for their A330 and A340 main landing gear. CIRCOR Aerospace will support all versions of these actuators, including the basic configuration and enhanced configuration for each aircraft. CIRCOR Aerospace will perform the manufacturing, final assembly and testing of these actuators at its Sylmar and Corona, California facilities. Boeing and AVIC to open Manufacturing Innovation Center in China

Boeing and Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), China’s largest state-owned aviation company, will open the AVIC-Boeing Manufacturing Innovation Center (MIC) in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China. Geng Ruguang, executive vice president of AVIC, and Ray Conner, vice president and general manager of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain Management & Operations, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies. The AVIC-Boeing MIC will enhance Boeing’s production system by increasing AVIC’s efficiency and capacity to supply high-quality parts for Boeing airplanes. SAS places an order with Airbus for 30 Aircraft powered by LEAP engines

SAS has placed an order for 30 Airbus A320neo with an option of an additional 11 Airbus A320neo with first delivery from the second half of 2016 and final delivery during 2019. Boeing and Air Lease Corporation sign agreement for up to 33 Airplanes

Boeing released that Air Lease Corporation (ALC) will purchase up to 33 airplanes. The agreement calls for 14 firm orders and four options for Next-Generation 737-800s, as well as five 777-300ERs (Extended Range) and four 787-9 Dreamliners. ALC also agrees to exercise options on six airplanes from last year’s 60 737-800 order.

GECAS signs firm order for 60 Airbus 320neo aircraft

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS),  signed a firm order for 60 Airbus 320neo Family aircraft at the 49th LeBourget airshow. GECAS has selected CFM’s LEAP-X engine for all 60 A320neo aircraft. The deal was announced  by Norman C.T. Liu, President and CEO of GECAS and John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating Officer Customers. This new order brings the total number of A320 Family aircraft ordered by GECAS to 390.

AWAS delivers new A320-200 aircraft to Frontier Airlines

AWAS has delivered a new Airbus A320-200 to Frontier Airlines, an operating unit of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. This latest delivery is one of three A320 aircraft delivered by AWAS this year and supports a major fleet optimization program launched by Frontier and its parent company, Republic Airways Holdings, Inc.
