Bristow Group to purchase eight new helicopters

Bristow Group a provider of helicopter services to the offshore energy industry, announced the acquisition of eight new aircraft. Bristow has exercised options to acquire two S-92 and three S-76C++ helicopters from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and three EC225 helicopters from Eurocopter, a division of EADS. The combined value of these purchases is approximately $143 million to be funded with the proceeds of previously completed financings and future operating cash flows. Bristow maintains multi-year options to purchase additional aircraft from Sikorsky and Eurocopter as market conditions require.

ACE Aviation Holdings reports final results of its substantial issuer bid

ACE Aviation Holdings released the final results of its offer to purchase Cdn$1.5 billion of its Class A Variable Voting Shares and Class B Voting Shares, which expired at 5:00 p.m. (Montreal time) on January 10, 2008. Based on final reports from CIBC Mellon Trust Company, the depositary under the offer, ACE confirmed that it has taken up and accepted for purchase and cancellation a total of 40,023,427 Class A Variable Voting Shares and 9,894,166 Class B Voting Shares at Cdn$30.00 per share for an aggregate purchase price of approximately Cdn$1.498 billion in accordance with the terms of the offer. Pinnacle Airlines releases December traffic

Pinnacle Airlines released its passenger and traffic levels for December 2007. During December, Pinnacle transported 795,796 customers, 4.3% more than the same period in 2006. Passenger Load Factor was 75.8%, an increase of 2.8 points over December 2006 levels. For the month, capacity decreased 2.1% when compared to the same period in 2006 and traffic increased 1.6% over December 2006.
