Continental Airlines Reports Increase in Load Factors for November

Continental Airlinesreported a November consolidated (mainline plus regional) load factor of 78.7 percent, 1.7 points above last year’s November consolidated load factor. The carrier reported a mainline load factor of 79.0 percent, 1.4 points above last year’s November mainline load factor, and a domestic mainline load factor of 81.2 percent, 3.7 points above November 2004. Embraer airliners have been granted a common type rating

Embraer announced that the EMBRAER170, EMBRAER 175 and EMBRAER 190 airliners have been granted a common type rating after a joint evaluation by the aeronautical authorities of Brazil, the United States, Canada and Europe. The common type rating allows Embraer aircraft operators to significantly reduce pilot training and crew qualification costs. Cathay Pacific places its largest New Aircraft Orders

Cathay Pacific Airways placed its biggest ever order for new aircraft to grow the airline, modernise and expand its fleet and continue to strengthen Hong Kong as a global aviation hub. Aloha Airlines and Airline Pilots Association Reach Agreement

Aloha Airlines and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) Council 80 announced that they have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, bringing Aloha Airlines one step closer to emerging from bankruptcy by the end of the year. Upon ratification by the ALPA membership and approval of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the agreement covering 270 Aloha pilots would become effective and run through April 30, 2009.
